Where do you currently work and what is your title/position?

Headache Neurologist at the University of Minnesota

What do you do? Do you use math in your position?

I am an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Minnesota. I lead, and see patients through, the M Health Fairview headache care program, teach medical students Neurology, and conduct research on migraine, long COVID, and visual snow syndrome. I use math in research and think Neurology and Math share a systematic and analytic way of thinking.

Have you received any awards or made any recent accomplishments you’d like to share? This can include promotions, new jobs, and memberships to boards and organizations.

I taught high school mathematics in Houston, Texas for two years before attending medical school.
