1997 PhD Centennial Celebration Program
In 1997, the Math Department celebrated 100 years of teaching PhDs at the UW. There was a series of talks in varied topics, featuring alumni from all over the world. They also had a dinner. The program lists 100 years of Ph.D. graduates and their thesis titles.

Mark Wilson (Ph.D., 1995, Passman) is the next editor-in-chief of the Notices of the American Mathematical Society. He starts a 3 year term on January 1, 2025.

In addition, he has a new research monograph recently published, written jointly with Robin Pemantle (former faculty, 1991-2001) among other coauthors.

Mark notes that he met Robin in Van Vleck when Robin was assistant prof and Mark a grad student, and we have collaborated since 1998 in this area (analytic combinatorics in several variables).
