Retired software engineer (numerous employers; longest stint was 17 years with Cisco Systems)
What do you do? Do you use math in your position?
Although my double major in computer science (Bachelor’s 1977 Master’s 1978) was the primary input for my career, having a 2nd major in math was a major asset fostering the logical thinking and analytical reasoning for a resilient career.
Any other information you’d like to share?
Unfortunately, a bout with cancer 3+ years ago led to surgery and a definite dampening of retirement’s joy, and just this summer I learned the cancer has returned, so any positive vibes sent my way are welcomed.
