2023: University of Pennsylvania, Professor and Vice Chair of Radiology

I oversee informatics, information systems, and policy for a department of 190+ faculty and 100 trainees; teach grad students and clinical trainees; and conduct research in biomedical informatics. My clinical specialty is abdominal imaging. Applications of math include work in artificial intelligence, including knowledge representation, probabilistic reasoning, and deep learning.

Since 2019, I’ve had the honor to serve as founding Editor of the journal Radiology: Artificial Intelligence.
