What do you do? Do you use math in your position?
I am a lawyer at a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank in Washington, D.C. My organization advances policy research on privacy and data protection. As a member of our U.S. Legislation team, I support research and independent analysis concerning federal, state, and local consumer privacy laws and regulations. My math background helps me understand data processing activities and advances in emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence.
Have you received any awards or made any recent accomplishments you’d like to share? This can include promotions, new jobs, and memberships to boards and organizations.
This year I was promoted from a fellow, which was a one year position, to policy counsel, which is a permanent role. I continue to publish independent research and scholarship in law reviews.
